If you find yourself downtown in March, take a moment to check out the Window Galleries exhibition at the EPCOR Centre (205 – 8th Avenue SE). One of our program partners, This Is My City Art Society (TMC), was selected to feature some quilting and textile artwork through the exhibit that was created here at the Women’s Centre!

TMC is a not-for-profit, multi-disciplinary arts program that has collaborated with the Women’s Centre on a number of projects. Quilts currently displayed in the exhibit were created in a project called Dream Quilts, undertaken when TMC was an Artist-in-Residence here at the Women’s Centre, as part of a city-wide arts and culture project in 2012. Sixteen women created the quilts and various members of the public helped stitch the layers together.

You can view the exhibit on the main floor of the EPCOR Centre, across from the Max Bell Theatre until March 28.

Thank you to Cat and Linda from This Is My City for leading this highly creative community project. And thank you to everyone who contributed to these lovely works of art!
