Volunteer Opportunities

The Women’s Centre offers women opportunities to both receive and provide support, to connect with others and build community through a variety of programs.

Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Women’s Centre as all of our programs and services are delivered by volunteers. In 2018, we were thankful for the work of 720 active volunteers providing services, building community, working for change, and fundraising in support of the Women’s Centre. Our trust-based work is centered on a philosophy of women helping women. Enabling a woman to both get support and give back as she is able provides her with opportunities to feel valued and to maintain a sense of dignity and belonging. We are a feminist organization that upholds the right for a woman to make the decisions that are best for her at that time. For this reason, we are not judgmental of a woman’s socioeconomic status; are pro-choice; and value diversity of race and ability.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at the Women’s Centre.

Diverse applicants are encouraged to apply as we value inclusion and prioritize making our space as accessible as possible. All volunteers must be 18 or older (unless otherwise stated). To get started, click the volunteer opportunities below to learn more about them.

*Please note: While all volunteer positions within the Centre’s space are only for those who identify as women, we do have opportunities for others to support the Women’s Centre through special projects, such as ushering at Stampeder football games, working casinos and picking up food donations.
