Whether you want to relax with our weekly yoga classes, learn more about resume writing and interview skills, or meet other women, Women’s Centre workshops and events are a great way to have fun and make connections during the summer months.
All workshops are free to attend and open to all women. Here are just a few of our upcoming classes. The full calendar is available here.
The Power of Networking: July 28 from 6-8pm
Social connections are not only good for your emotional well-being, but also for your overall health. In this workshop, you can learn about social connections and share your personal stories about networking. Map your connections and find out which can support your goals, which need more investment, and which you might want to let go of.
Period Talk: Reusable Menstrual Products: July 30 from 7-8pm
Come and learn about reusable menstrual products to replace your pads and tampons. Not only are they comfortable, they’re also inexpensive and good for the earth. Take home a menstrual cup or reusable pads.
Jewellery Making: July 30 from 6-8pm
Please join us to create your very own special jewelry. Learn how to create some impressive pieces out of different items and walk away with something new to wear or to give to a friend! All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any small items you would like to re-work into jewelry.
Starting an Online Business: August 13 from 6-8pm
Do you need help creating an online presence for your business? Perhaps you make jewelry or teach a fitness class, but don’t know how to get the word out there. In this workshop, Sarah will outline how to create a thriving online business, covering everything from how to create an effective website, to how to use social media to get leads.
Improvisation: August 27 from 6-8pm
Improvisation is a fun and creative way to follow impulses, listen to others and gain self confidence. It is not about performers trying to be funny, but rather humans trying to delight others and find comedy in the ordinary. Come on down to learn more in a safe and no pressure environment!
Please call (403) 264-1155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any question or to sign up. No children in any of the workshops please.
