Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo says: “The power of one, if fearless and focused, is formidable, but the power of many working together is better.” The Women’s Centre could not run without the many helpers who lend their time, hearts and resources, and our upcoming move is no exception!
Throughout the next few weeks, we are in need of some helping hands and strong backs to assist us with all aspects of our move. On March 28 we will be moving all of our belongings out of our current space located at 646-First Ave NE to the space that we will soon call our new home at 39-4 St NE. For those who are unable to do heavy lifting, there are other opportunities for you to help with sorting, packing, cleaning, unpacking, and any other odd jobs that come up.
Please invite your friends and family to join us on the following days:
- Wednesday, March 19, 10am-4pm (cleaning day)
- Wednesday, March 26, 10am-4pm (packing day)
- Friday, March 28, 9am-4pm (official move day)*
- First few weeks of April (unpacking, organizing)
*Please note: On our official move days, most of the volunteer activities will include physical work, such as lifting and moving boxes. Strong backs are required for these duties.
Everyone 18 years and older is welcome to join us. Any time that you can give to help out with our move is sincerely appreciated.
