THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL

How do you cope?

We’ve just gone through two years of pandemic. Now we’re dealing with inflation and a shortage of rental housing. And even before that, many folks were coping with poverty and so much more.

And yet you keep going.

The Women’s Centre is partnering with CBC because we want to hear your story. What’s more, Editor Elise Stolte would like to help you write that story yourself.

Join this writing workshop in September. You don’t have to be a professional writer, and don’t worry if you think your English isn’t great because this about learning and growing together.

These four in-person workshops, will take you through a step-by-step process – everything from where to begin, how to focus and when a splash of colour can make your story come alive. By the end, you’ll have a rough draft to be proud of, and can even pitch your story to CBC as a special First Person stories.

The four sessions run each Tuesday evening in September at the Calgary Central Library, starting at 6 p.m. You can meet us at the Women’s Centre and we can walk to the library or you can meet us at the library. As we are partnered with CBC, all genders are welcome.

Come learn from each other and have your voice heard.

To register please call 403 264 1155 and ask for Bj or email bj@womenscentrecalgary.org
