Join us for a new life skills and literacy program for women at the Women’s Centre! Through the Taking Charge Program, women will be able to explore their skills, strengths and goals to handle the challenges of everyday life, and to pursue learning or employment opportunities. Guided by women themselves in a women-only space, the program will focus on issues that are important to them. Come check out the first session on Monday March 28 at 5:30pm to learn more!
This in-person program will take place on Mondays 5:30-7:30pm for 10 weeks, March 28-June 13 at the Women’s Centre, 39 4 Street NE. We will provide refreshments and transit tickets, and there is free street parking. We hope to be able to provide childminding, if safe to do so.
Join us to explore your skills and strengths, and build new ones for:
- self-care
- confidence
- positive thinking
- returning to work or school
- connecting with other women
- setting goals
- and other topics
This program is open to all who identify as women and will be facilitated by a Women’s Centre volunteer in partnership with CanLearn Society. Please call 403.264.1155 or email Monique@womenscentrecalgary.org for more information or to register.
