Sisters In Spirit Red Dress Tribute Activity
October 1, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Free
Thursday, October 1, 1:00-2:30pm
We will be learning a bit about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) and making Red Dress tribute dresses to hang on the Women’s Centre windows for Sisters in Spirit Day Oct 4th. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic child-minding will not be available during this workshop. Register below or email RSVP@womenscentrecalgary.org.
This workshop is open to women-identifying individuals only. No children in this workshop please.
Due to health guidelines, we will be limiting the number of registrants in workshops so please let us know if you are unable to attend. In the Women’s Centre we ask that participants socially distance and wear a mask during workshops. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available. To maintain a healthy and safe community, we trust that each person will conduct a personal self-assessment before coming to the Centre. We ask that you do not attend the event if you have a fever (38C or 100F and up) or new or worsening cough. Unless related to a pre-existing condition, do not attend if you have sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, if you have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or if you have had contact with anyone with COVID-19.
