FreeThis workshop is currently full. Please see the September 24 workshop for availability.
Learn about the history of the Women’s Centre, the peer model, and why we do what we do. This workshop is required for anyone to volunteer at the Women’s Centre. This workshop will be held in-person at the Women’s Centre while following Alberta Health guidelines; however, the event could move online via Zoom if provincial health circumstances change. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic child-minding will not be available during this workshop. If you have any questions please email RSVP@womenscentrecalgary.org.
This workshop is open to women-identifying individuals only. No children in this workshop please.
Due to health guidelines, we will be limiting the number of registrants in workshops so please let us know if you are unable to attend. In the Women’s Centre we ask that participants socially distance and wear a mask during workshops. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available. To maintain a healthy and safe community, we trust that each person will conduct a personal self-assessment before coming to the Centre. We ask that you do not attend the event if you have a fever (38C or 100F and up) or new or worsening cough. Unless related to a pre-existing condition, do not attend if you have sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, if you have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or if you have had contact with anyone with COVID-19.
