Indigenous Women’s Katiniq (Online)

June 30, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Oki, Aba Wathtech, Danit’ada, Tansi, Tanshi, Hello, Bonjour, Relatives.

We would like to invite you to an Indigenous Women only space that has been created to empower, celebrate and promote lateral love. Together, Elder Linda Johnson from the Northern Cree First Nation, Bobbi-Jo Amos from the Bearspaw First Nation, Jacie Alook from the Bigstone Cree Nation and Tapisa Kilabuk from the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut are committed to providing opportunity to bringing us together. In this space we will make time to get to know each other with the hopes to ignite friendships and a strong support network that is based on Indigenous love.

We have planned our first meeting for June 30th, 2021 to commemorate 154 years of Resistance. We want to honour All Our Relations who resist by existing, who survive and thrive, who speak the truth through words, art, action, and love.  Katiniq is the Inuktuit word for gathering. This gathering is open to Indigenous women identifying individuals only.
