Black women have been key leaders in the women’s movement. In honor of Black history month, we would like to center the voices of black women in our community by offering a safe space to discuss issues which matter to them. The Women’s Centre has been focusing on defining what being anti- racist might look like for us. This informal gathering is an opportunity to support us on this ongoing journey. It is also aimed at being an early step to inform our work around anti-racism, a process we believe should start with racialized people leading it.

We have never done this type of event before, but we are committed to learning, listening and exploring new ways of doing things to ultimately increase inclusion for all women in our community!

Join us for an evening of nurturing discussions and hopeful intentions.

This workshop will be held online via Zoom and is open to Black, women-identifying individuals only. If you have any questions please email RSVP@womenscentrecalgary.org. Please register below and we will share the Zoom link access closer to the event.
