We can support more women with your help. By giving women the support, connections and community they need, you will be creating a legacy that has a lasting impact for generations to come.
You can plan to give in a number of ways:
- Bequest – you leave a portion (or all) of your estate to the Women’s Centre in your will.
- Securities – a highly beneficial way of giving to the Women’s Centre that can result in significant tax credits to you.
- Life insurance policies – donating a life insurance policy to the Women’s Centre (even when not fully paid for) gives you an immediate tax benefit.
- Retirement savings – transform tax liabilities into a charitable gift by donating money from your retirement funds.
- Real estate – a gift of property can serve the Women’s Centre in many ways.
- Charitable remainder trust – this involves transferring cash, property, securities or real estate into a trust, all or part of which is donated to the Women’s Centre following your death.
- Residual interest gift – a contract where the Women’s Centre receives future ownership of a valuable asset (generally real estate or art) but you maintain use of it for life.
- Limited partnership interests – you can donate to the Women’s Centre all or part of your interests in a limited partnership.
If you are considering a planned gift of $1,000 or more, one of our coordinators can advise you how your gift can make a difference – both to the community and to your estate. For information, contact:

In the interests of protecting our reputation and charitable status, we ask that organizations hosting third-party fundraisers follow our policy and guidelines:
Third Party Fundraising Policy and Guidelines
The Women’s Centre of Calgary receives inquiries each year from individuals and organizations that want to stage their own fundraising events in support of our charitable purposes. These “Third-Party Events” are run by individuals or groups that are not affiliated with the Women’s Centre.
A “Third Party Fundraiser” is defined as any organization or individual that uses the Women’s Centre name and logo in promotional material for an event and donates a portion or all of the proceeds from the event to the Women’s Centre.
The Women’s Centre reserves the right to establish partnerships with third party fundraisers that align with our mission. All Third Party Fundraising Requests and Activities must receive approval from the Women’s Centre. In order to support and monitor Third Party Fundraising Events, the Women Centre requires all Third Party Fundraisers to submit a budget and signed Fundraising Guidelines Form for review.
Third Party Fundraisers are expected to sign the Fundraising Agreement Form in acknowledgment of their acceptance.
