Connecting with our Neighbours

Do you live in Bridgeland-Riverside, Crescent Heights or Renfrew? We want to connect with you!

The Women’s Centre very excited to launch a six-month project to get to know our new neighbours. With the opening of our beautiful new centre, we are excited to invite more women in and explore new possibilities for how women can connect with the Women’s Centre in a meaningful way.

Our goal is to reach new women and build relationships. We hope that these new relationships will help us recognize community needs, as well as provide programs, workshops, events and other gatherings that better meet the needs of women and use their skills. We are interested in:

  • Sharing information about the Women’s Centre and opportunities for women to get involved;
  • Exploring the issues women are facing in their communities; and
  • Staying connected with women for future events & collaboration.

If you live in Bridgeland-Riverside, Crescent Heights or Renfrew, you might soon meet some of our volunteers. Over the next few weeks, we will be leading a door-knocking campaign to meet and connect with women. We will also be reconnecting with community organizations interested in expanding existing relationships, and hopefully making some new relationships with groups we haven’t worked with before. Stay tuned for updates.

If you would like to get more information about this project or how to get involved, please stop by 39-4th St. NE, or get in touch with Rhoda at rhoda@womenscentrecalgary.org.
